Bend Macaroni Kid is so excited to share our business pick of the month! The Stylish Stork, located on 165 NE Greenwood in Downtown Bend is a non-profit baby store which offers new and gently used baby and children's items at bargain prices!
I admit, I have driven by this adorable store countless times, always intending to one day pop in and yesterday, I finally did! I was so excited to see that The Stylish Stork had just about everything you could imagine a child would need. They carry quality children's clothing, sizes preemie to 6T, many of which are designer names like Ralph Lauren, Guess baby, Baby Gap and many more. Everything was organized by color, gender and size! The Stylish Stork also sell toys, books, cribs, strollers and even play structures. Their inventory is constantly changing so each time you shop you will find something new.
What makes The Stylish Stork so special are the owners Rick and Karin Windlinx. They really wanted to assist families in Central Oregon by offering affordable baby clothing, furniture and equipment through their locally owned non-profit baby store. They endeavor to help families become stable by providing them with the assistance needed for their children. The Stylish Stork will evaluate each case on an individual basis and will decide whether it warrants a financial contribution, gift certificate or in-kind. They also take the time to follow up with their families to make sure their needs are continuing to be met and that they are on their way to self sufficiency.
Do you have clothes, toys or furniture your child has outgrown? The Stylish Stork accepts donations and provides tax deductible receipts. They have also created an in-store credit system which allows people to bring in their good quality items for in-store credit. When you shop or donate, you become a part of this inspiring journey to hope. The Stylish Stork also welcome volunteers!
